Why is it important?

It is an effort to explore herbal remedies for various diseases. Three parts of Carissa opaca were compared.

Perspectives

Carissa opaca is a medicinal plant abundantly found in northern regions of Pakistan including Islamabad, Abbottabad Hazara, and adjoining areas. It is called garanda in the local language Hindko/ Punjabi. The fruit of the plants is edible. In the present work, we evaluated its three parts for anti-diabetic, anti-microbial, and anti-oxidant properties.
