What is it about?
Editorial and introduction to the special issue on the Extended Senses Symposium and Exhibition - it introduces the articles in the special issues focussed on the topics of the symposium which explore ways of extending and expanding the body through new and emerging modalities and technologies, and in particular for this journal, those that are about Virtual and Augmented Reality projects.

Why is it important?
It highlights some key research and creative practice in this evolving field. INTER/her is intended as a personal exploration, conversation starter and community builder around reproductive disease largely not discussed openly and taboo for some. This article discusses the development experience, exhibition and discoveries from INTER/her since its inception to the present.
Perspectives
It was an opportunity for me to be an editor on a Special Issue Journal Publication and manage and edit all the journal articles submitted as part of the symposium and more specifically for this journal. It hopefully gives some insight into the issues and artworks we were exploring in the symposium.
