Why is it important?

This article shows how a re-reading of the text through the lens fanfiction offers can shed light on representational issues of gender and sexuality in literature in general and in Harry Potter specifically.

Perspectives

I enjoyed writing this article immensely as fanfiction was one of the platforms that I used when I finished reading the Harry Potter books. It offers an alternative that most readers don't particularly get in popular literature.
