Why is it important?
The paper aims to theorise intersections between feminist politics, music, and digital culture in the Middle East, which is often overlooked in the current scholarship . It also tries to push feminist media studies towards music, a communicative practice that is often sidelined in the literature.
Perspectives
The paper reflects on my two year ethnography on the gender politics of popular music in Palestine, a very rich period of my life. I hope people might enjoy it!
