This article is important because it modifies the traditional square diagrams, allowing for the creation of the Rectangle of Opposites. By means of Venn diagrams, the Rectangle of Opposites displays the internal structure of Aristotle's Categorical Propositions, and allows a thoroughgoing understand of the oppositional relations that exist among these propositions.
