What is it about?
The sustainability in Earth and space’s environment is important to humanity and the next generations. As space technologies and innovations progress, there is a trend that more countries can participate in the global space activities. However, there are some concerns relating to the unsustainable use of Earth and space’s environment that cause issues such as crowded orbits, uncontrolled small satellites, and pollutions from space launch. Therefore, the academic institutions need to work closely with practitioners and stimulate meaningful dialogues for sustainable development.

Why is it important?
Sustainable space can relate to everyone on Earth. Meanwhile, the academic institutions can still play a meaningful role to promote sustainable development in outer space.
Perspectives
I believe that we can solve the current issues in outer space through a global collaboration. Academic institutions should also be in the center to provide new solutions for practitioners and other related parties.
