What is it about?

Through ‘Kissing my actual sister prank’, one of his most contro-versial videos, youtuber PrankInvasion challenged his own followers to fulfil an especially controversial challenge: kiss his own stepsister. Through the apparent absence of ordinary moral limits, Chris Monroe expresses his heartfelt attachment to the most extraordinary limit of capitalism: economic growth.

Why is it important?

Capitalism does not hesitate to use reactionary proclamations like those of PrankInvasion, in the form of its only moral imperative: economic efficiency. Criticism still cannot direct itself towards the nature of the obscene and its complex depth, but continues to insist on the maintenance of everything ominous in the field of invisibility.

Perspectives

The fight against secularization is still present. We have no choice but to keep looking for the space for profana-tion and not to confuse the secularized with the profane. But we consider that, for the reasons stated, it will not be within capitalism.
