Why is it important?
Visualizations are important in helping entrepreneurs to better understand their innovation ecologies. We have shown for the first time that open-source methods can help actors reveal hidden characteristics of ecosystems, thus helping them navigate this complexity.
Perspectives
Writing this article was a great pleasure as it has co-authors with whom I have had long standing collaborations. This article also lead to discovering new networks who are interested in how visualization tools can be implored to help navigate complex ecosystems. I hope this article will attract more people towards using open-source tools to identify new opportunities for innovation in their ecosystems.
