What is it about?
We showed that the retina of the eye (where visual sensory begins) is affected in Huntington´s Disease (HD) associated pathology in mice. Our findings, and similar findings by others in HD mice and patients, suggest that the retinal pathology might be used as an indicator of disease progression and perhaps as a biomarker for drug trials.
