What is it about?
The suitability of additive manufacturing (AM) (aka 3D Printing) processes can be analyzed using fuzzy sets and multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) to create a general framework. This paper examines applies this phenomenon upon the automotive industry.

Why is it important?
The paper emphasizes how additive manufacturing can improve the automotive industry's production efficiency, cost-effectiveness and sustainability through its unique advantages and provides a framework for assessing AM alternatives.
Perspectives
We tried to highlight the potential of additive manufacturing for the automotive industry by proposing a novel MCDM methodology. We acknowledge that the paper has limitations. Overall, the paper offers valuable insights into the importance of careful decision-making when selecting the best additive manufacturing process for a specific application.
