Why is it important?
We report on the effect of MEMS on averting drug-susceptible and multidrug-resistant (MDR) TB cases and how the ICER varies by the key parameters.
Perspectives
Our study demonstrated the cost-effectiveness of MEMS among infectious active TB patients in Morocco. To scale-up of digital health intervention as part of TB control strategy in North Africa, the Global Care international (NGO) will continue making efforts with the government, the community, and the private sector. We would like to thank the Moroccan League Against Tuberculosis for providing administrative support, and the nurses and community health workers in the primary health center in the Salé area for collecting data and providing technical assistance. Dr. Seup Park, a field director and surgeon won the 2013 Asan Grand Prize for his contribution to the world public health.
