What is it about?

This study investigated the link between mental disorders (such as depression and anxiety), dietary habits, and disease activity/physical function in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The researchers found that depression was associated with healthy dietary habits such as fish, vegetables, and fruit in RA patients. The study suggests that modifying dietary habits, such as increasing fish consumption, may positively affect depression in RA patients.

Perspectives

I hope this study may present a new therapeutic possibility for depression and anxiety, which are commonly comorbid with rheumatoid arthritis and have limited treatment options.
