The importance of this work is to expose the difficulties of health care in certain regions of Brazil and thereby draw the attention of the Ministry of Health to the need to expand the maternal and child care network

Critical situations such as the Zika epidemic in Brazil are opportunities to observe the functioning of health systems and seek improvements where they are needed, and also for better preparation for future crises
