Why is it important?

This is important because of several reasons: • Nepal like her other South Asian neighbors is currently facing an increasing burden of overweight and obesity. As a result, the underlying causes of obesity epidemic in Nepal needs to be identified and addressed. • If frequency of watching television is associated with overweight and obesity among Nepalese women, this can be addressed by the health promotion programs of Nepal by raising awareness.

Perspectives

This is an important publication not only for Nepal but also for other developing countries of this region.
