What is it about?

This article explains a simple modification of a radiometer first described in an issue of Optics Express in 2014. The modification improved the signal-to-noise ratio by a factor of up to two. Though the modification is simple, it and adaptations based on the same principle could significantly expand the potential uses of this technology.
