What is it about?
This article examines African American life in Parsons, Kansas, a small Midwestern town. African Americans have been present in Parsons since the town's beginnings. Despite enduring both de jure and de facto segregation, the African American community in Parsons has proven to be a resilient, essential presence in Parsons.
