What is it about?
The federal government should take over Medicaid by relieving states of their operational and financial responsibility for running the Medicaid program. Implementing this proposal, would free up state budgets for greater spending on education, transportation, and other social service needs. It would improve the Affordable Care Act by immediately expanding Medicaid in the 12 states that have so far refused this state option and promote social justice by making benefits, beneficiaries, and provider reimbursement rates uniform throughout the country.
