This special issue emerged from an international conference that took place in London and Cambridge in the summer of 2010. A companion volume called Chantiers du poème was published by Peter Lang (2012). Subsequently Nina Parish and I co-directed a research network into contemporary French poetry and its interdisciplinary connections (2012-15).
