What is it about?
This narrative piece chronicles how a bullied professor find a sense of belonging in her own line community. Her activities help her find a community when her own department has rejected her expertise.

Why is it important?
Black women so often are shunned and mobbed at work. However, she can find that belonging through online communities and the congratulatory remarks from that online communities. This strategy helps assuage the rejection one feels when bullied in their own department.
Perspectives
Bullying can hurt people's sense of belong and lead to depression. This article gives an alternative to finding a sense of belonging in professional online circles when one's own department abuses them.
