What is it about?
The year 2020 was characterized by a pandemic that crossed borders, affecting many and in many different ways. This article offers a glimpse into the Spanish situation, and how life, or what used to be perceived as veryday, was interrupted, altered. By looking at texts in the first person, one can also appreciate how this so-called crisis affected individuals as well as society as a whole.

I showcase the importance of testimonial narrative, paying attention to grassroots activist efforts to counter the discourse and frames imposed from above.
Perspectives
I hope to show there is a ray of light in social justice initiatives of varied sorts, of which scholarly activism might well be one.
