What is it about?

Contrary to previous sports studies demonstrating that sports within prime- time television programming minimize women athletes both in terms of exposure and the characterization of athletes when they are shown, the NBC- based athletic reality program American Ninja Warrior seemingly challenges such traditions. In almost all comparisons, men and women ninjas were treated as equals by the announcers.
