Why is it important?

This paper is important because ABS is a rare but underdiagnosed health problem and patients are being turned away from healthcare because providers are not familiar with Auto-Brewery Syndrome

Perspectives

Healthcare providers must treat individuals with an open mind and compassion. If a person is drunk but insists they have not been drinking, the provider should consider Auto-Brewery as a possibility. We continue to research this rare syndrome. For more information go to www.autobrewery.info
