What is it about?
Levodopa/carbidopa is a combination medicine used to treat patients with Parkinson's disease. There are cases where these patients can not take oral medication so other routes of administration must be used like rectal. This paper reports the stability of 2 formulations of rectal suspensions and the formulas use d to compound them.

Why is it important?
The findings show that there was a difference in the stability of the 2 formulations when stored at 22C or 5C. The suspensions are more stability when refrigerated and the carbidopa is more unstable when stored at room temperature.
Perspectives
I hope that providing this information while help other healthcare professionals in treating patients with Parkinson's disease and help the patients control their condition.
