What is it about?

It is a simple six structural trapping models for hydrocarbon accumulation. This study correlates the cumulative production of each closure in the field (Den Field, offshore TX) with their fault displacement and their direction.

Why is it important?

Success of finding oil and gas is contingent on the seal integrity and fault displacement. Migration and hydrocarbon leakage via the carrier beds is controlled by local faults that intersect the field . Large producing wells vs. dry (wet) wells are perfectly correlated to the proposed six models.

Perspectives

Fast track geological models for assess the possible success or failure to find oil and gas.
