What is it about?
Pelvic reconstruction after tumour resection is one of the most technically demanding procedures in orthopaedic oncology. The use of a stemmed acetabular pedestal cup represent a useful reconstruction technique, however, infection and instability remain drawbacks. Future modifications of the device may help to reduce complication rates.
