What is it about?

People having redo operations after an initial knee replacement may have associated bone loss around the prosthetic knee. We have reported our results on the management of these defects using special sleeve, which fills the gaps and bonds directly with the bone.

Why is it important?

Bone loss a major problem encountered by the surgeon in revision knee replacement. We have achieved good results with a new system and potentially, this could improve outcomes in knee revision surgery.
