Enabling care home residents and older people to exercise.

What is it about?

This article outlines types of exercise that can be carried out within a residential care setting to enable residents to regain and prolong the strength and flexibility of their bodies. Even light exercise can have great benefits for care home residents to maintain and improve function of muscles and limbs and help with co-ordination.

Why is it important?

It encourages residents to move around more and become stronger and thus more independent.
