What is it about?

Overview of a tool to support health visitors, and family nurses to empower parents to promote speech language and communication development in their chiddren

Why is it important?

Speech, language and communication skills are a critical factor in a child's development. There a links between speech, language and communication development and social disadvantage and outcomes in later life. Health visitors and family nurses are well placed to develop effective and therapeutic relationships with families, and to support and empower them to promote optimum speech, language and communication development in their children.
