Why is it important?
There is a shortage of young people, applying for health related careers. Undertaking this scheme will give young people (age 16-25) a valuable insight into nursing by offering them both theory and practice knowledge with ongoing advice and support.
Perspectives
In writing this article I hope that it will raise awareness of what the scheme, how we work with young people to encourage them into the workforce, this in turn may lead to some new working partnerships.
