What is it about?
Surgical wounds and the surrounding skin need protection to avoid complications that can affect healing and patient quality of life. This study surveyed 45 healthcare professionals treating 394 patients to gather their experiences with the sterile surgical dressing Curapor. Most wounds were acute, such as postoperative wounds, cuts, and abrasions. The average wear time per dressing was 2.08 days. 94% of patients reported no dressing slippage, and 98% had no tape blisters. Curapor was rated good at absorbing wound fluid. All professionals said patients found the dressing soft or very soft, and 98% reported patients found it comfortable. The results suggest Curapor meets the performance requirements for a post-surgical dressing.
