Why is it important?

Extensive research has shown music to positively impact psychological measures of individuals and patients alike. However, little is known about its impact on physical activity aspects of different people. Many cardiac rehabilitation settings employ music during the exercise circuits but currently, there are no standards for the genre and type to regulate what the patients are exposed to during the sessions. Classical music has shown to be one of the main genres to positively influence the well-being of individuals so it is important to see whether it provides the same observations under clinical cardiac rehabilitation settings.
