What is it about?

Most business programmes include business statistics and data analysis modules as a core part of their programme. However many business students still find such modules challenging, boring and irrelevant despite the growing demand from employers for graduates analytics skills. This paper tries to understand how business students used a set of learning resources that were designed to aid early stage business student to meet the learning outcomes of a core data analysis module.

The demand from employers for graduates with analytics skills is growing, yet most business students do not see their future in this area. It is important for us to understand the effectiveness of our initiatives in improving student learning in the field of analytics.
