The article presents the startegy of elecrticity utilities. Polish electricity utilities are influenced by many factors, particularly regulatory, technological and market impacts that force increased innovation throughout the value chain. This paper shows the way, how electricity utilities adapt to the requirements of their environment.

Why is it important?
Economic development of a country depends on access to energy, particularly electricity. In industrialized countries, the key to economic development is their power sectors’ proper performance. How power stations can achieve higher level of efficiency. Energy efficiency improvement will continue to play a key role, not only to ensure sustainable development, but also for increasing the competitiveness of power companies.
Perspectives
Macro-environment will have strong influence on the development strategy. CEO and researchers will find better way to achieve higher efficiency for power plant stations.
