Why is it important?

It raises the issue that we should be more inclusive of accepting papers from non trained scientists as parents of rare disease children are likely as expert in the diseases as any PhD or MD.

Perspectives

Its an honor to have been asked to write something and I wanted to include 2 of the rare disease children that I have met and who with their parents continue to inspire me.
