Why is it important?
Small labs often canot set-up and maintain a big quality management system as described in ISO 9001. Still ot is important to ensure a high quality standard in research.
Perspectives
With the introduction of qualitiy standards in preclinical reasearch labs, the transparency and reproducibility of experiments and results will be enhanced. This will be one way of countering the ongoing reproducibility crisis
