Why is it important?

Understanding the association between gender differences and NAFLD will allow us to target specific groups to improve health promotion and disease prevention activity as well as provide proper treatment strategy in order to reduce the rates of morbidity and mortality associated with NAFLD and its associated pathologies. Therefore, this investigated the gender differences in the prevalence of NAFLD from the general population of Northeast Thailand.
