What is it about?

Tick-borne viruses of the RSSE complex are found in many continents all over the world. In many places they infect each year dozens or hundreds of people who are bitten by infected ticks. Inactivated vaccines are not very protective. A live virus vaccine may provide protection against infections with many viruses of the Complex in differen t parts of the world. The article describes work in monkeys with an attenuated strain of Kyasanur Forest Disease virus which protects against homologous and heterologous challenges.
