Written with Bienvenida Matias, this is a retrospective glance on the goals and achievements of a film distribution project sponsored by Women Make Movies in New York City and devoted to the distribution and exhibition of films by Latin American and Latina women filmmakers.

Why is it important?

The project, "Punto de Vista: Latina" was pathbreaking in that it was the first project of its kind devoted to Latin American and Latina women filmmakers, and this is the only article on this particular project.

Perspectives

I enjoyed collaborating on this memoir with Bienvenida Matias, and am proud that we were able to provide such visibility and exhibition opportunities for these women filmmakers.
