What is it about?

This paper examines contemporary trends in academic productivity among US and non-US anesthesiologists practicing critical care medicine (CCM). US anesthesiologists had more academic contributions in CCM sections of anesthesiology journals, but fewer academic contributions in multi-disciplinary CCM journals. There appears to be a downtrend in CCM academic output from both US and non-US anesthesiologists.
