What is it about?
The fluid challenge is a modality of fluid administration in operating room based on a bolus of different kind of fluids, infused in a fixed time, to assess the fluid responsiveness (the hemodynamic repose to a fluid bolus). We assessed the consistency of fluid challenge administration in two types of scientific articles regarding volume and type of fluid used, time of infusion and threshold of fluid responsiveness.
