What is it about?

We simulate polymer chains, that differ in how they are segmented all confined in a small spherical cavity. As the cavity is made to shrink the different polymers separate with the one with the longest stiff segments moving right to boundary.

Why is it important?

This is part of helping us understand what confinement does to stiff polymers or filaments. It might help to understand about filament arrangement in cells/

Perspectives

The systems are simple enough to be able to compare well with analytical techniques, providing yet more perspectives.
