What is it about?
Part 2 gives examples of the P-C properties from several NCEs that were in the development phase. Examples of solubility vs pH, Stability/kinetics vs pH, polymorphs and hydrates, excipient compatibility and others.

Why is it important?
The examples are valuable in providing methods of resolution, citing important P-C Characteristics that should be investigated. Th paper title includes CONTROLLED RELEASE. However, the manuscript could just as well been entitled as IMMEDIATE RELEASE. The manuscript was developed from a previous presentation that dealt with IMMEDIATE RELEASE dosage form development.
Perspectives
The manuscript had a lot of attention and several citations. It was well received when it was presented at a Controlled Release Symposium and before that the material was well received in a class room of undergraduate Pharmacy students and an audience where the Immediate Release aspects were presented.
