Why is it important?

Increasingly, we are understanding that perturbations of humoral immunity 9IL1, IL6, TNF Alpha) are involved in suicidality; thereby explaining medical contact. Leads to consideration of immune modulation and anti inflammatory measures for assisting suicidality

Perspectives

There could be biological markers (signatures involving cytokines, kinokines ) suggesting high suicidal risk. This article led up to developing crisis teams post discharge from general hospital.
