What is it about?

Why is it important?
By applying dynamic matching FWI to full wavefields including multiples, this work overcomes 2 shortcomings of the conventional imaging using primaries only data from DAS VSP acquisitions: (1) narrow illumination angle range; (2) no image possible above the shallowest DAS channel (2km depth in this case). The resulting image derived from final FWI model is comparable to a legacy OBN RTM image that uses primaries only.
