What is it about?

The traditional finite difference method cannot simulate the propagation of seismic waves in fractures. We provide a new finite difference scheme that can solve this problem and verify the effectiveness of the scheme.

Why is it important?

We provide a completely new approach to simulate the propagation of seismic waves in fractured media. Forward numerical simulation is the basis of inversion, and related research on inversion can be continued on the basis of forward. We have given a new formula and verified the relationship between fracture-related parameters and seismic parameters.

Perspectives

This research is my first research, this is only the first step of the research, I hope to find the fracture location from the seismic data and get the relevant parameters of the fracture. This research is very meaningful and I enjoy the research process.
