What is it about?
My comments add clarity on terminology, equations, inconsistencies, and graphical methods suggested in the original paper. I also present alternative relationship between resistivity and velocity that could be used to "manufacture" velocity from resistivity.

Why is it important?
The comments were specific and provided corrections in areas that were erroneous or unclear.
Perspectives
Because oil and gas operations are worldwide, and for the sake of pedagogy and technology transfer, it is important that we present and employ accurate and the best methods. This was missing in the article I commented on. The authors of the original paper were given an opportunity to rebut my comments but failed to do so. I feel gratified to have provided the comments.
