What is it about?
It is a qualitative study on Greek teachers' perspectives about the barriers that refugee students face entering the Greek educational system. In order to examine teachers' views, we used focus groups. Thematic analysis resulted in three main themes: (a) institutional barriers, (b) the pivotal role of an inclusive school culture, and (c) the reception class as a transitional space. We hope the data to inform policies, since participation in the education system of the host country facilitates social integration.

It is also the most consequential of all, at both the level of the individual and of society.
