What is it about?
This is a Randomized Controlled Trail which shows that face-to-face physiotherapy training and education prior to elective Cesarean section is a promising intervention to improve the post-operative outcomes by reducing post-operative pain, doses of additional analgesics required, pain upon returning to functional activities and lengths of hospital stay.

Why is it important?
There are only a limited number of studies available regarding physiotherapy and its impact on enhanced post-natal care, globally. Very few studies have investigated systematically aspects such as optimal timing of physiotherapy education, method of delivery, duration, and frequency of reinforcement and feedback. Hence, our study aims to examine whether face-to-face physiotherapy training and education for women who are undergoing elective CS leads to improvement in post-operative outcomes?
