What is it about?

What is the effect of 16-week supervised aerobic interval exercise programs with Mediterranean diet recommendations in people after suffering and acute myocardial infarction?

Why is it important?

Our main question is: does low-volume high-intensity interval training provide similar benefits compared to high-volume high-intensity interval training?

Perspectives

Writing this article was a pleasure to carry on the research. This study will be the first clinical trial comparing the effects of two different volumes of HIIT programs with Mediet recommendations for people after MI and also compared to an attention control group receiving only recommendations. The results of this trial will provide good evidence for physical rehabilitation in this population and what type of treatment achieves better physical results.
