What is it about?

The main findings of the paper showed that the levels of the zinc transporter called ZnT3 are significantly decreased in the brain of Mucolipidosis IV mouse model. The marked reduction of ZnT3 may explain the previous observations by our laboratory that zinc is abnormally metabolized in the brain of the mouse model and in certain cells of Mucolipidosis IV patients.
